Using Fipamo
You're up and running! Nice work. Once you login, you should be seeing this. This is your main dashboard for your new brand spanking new bloggity blog.
It pretty much speaks for itself but let's hit take a look at a few areas.
Fipamo Settings
The setting pages is where you'll edit your personal info like your handle, email, title, domain, etc etc. You'll also pick what theme you want to use here as well. Fipamo comes with two default themes that you can choose from, one light and one dark.
At the top of the screen are three sticky buttons that handle saving your settings, publishing your lovely site to static html files and a toggle to render pages when they are saved, respectively. The default is off.
Fipamo comes with a maintenance script that keeps your pages all nice and tidy, so if page order ever seems out of whack, click the REINDEX PAGES button and it will launch the script to reorganize all pages in the proper sequence and update the current index that the site uses to know where it's at in the order. Neat, right?
To backup your lovely and gorgeous site, click the CREATE BACKUP button and a zip file will be created that contains your settings files, markdown pages and your uploaded images. To download your zip, just click the date. To restore your site, hit RESTORE BACKUP and choose the downloaded backup zip to upload. When restoring a back up, remember to publish the site when they upload is complete to create the public site once again.
NOTE Always hit the save button before you leave the page if you make changes to your settings (until autosave works anyway, haha).
Creating/Editing Pages
Ok, the good stuff: making pages. From the main dashboard, click on 'Create Page' and that will bring you to the blog page creation screen.
Making a new page is built to be a simple process as it is just creating and editing markdown files that the system uses as a template to make html pages.
Page options allow you to set the page as menu item, feature it on the front page and making it live, respectively. Each one is a toggle so you can turn these options on and off.
When you're ready to go, hit that Create New Page button and it will automatically take you to page editing.
Page editing is the same as the page creation screen save for a couple of new options to save page edits and delete the page altogether.
Navigation and Menu
If you toggled Pin to Menu while a page was being created/edited, it will show up here on the Navigation page. From here you can set what order you want your menu items to be in or just remove them altogether. Just drag and drop and Fipamo will remember the order when the pages are rendered into html.
